• Barrierefreiheitstool: Zur Gewährleistung einer einfachen Zugänglichkeit und der Einhaltung zentraler Barrierefreiheitsstandards nutzt die Website das Tool „OneTap Accessibility“.
• Keyboard Navigation: The website is largely operable via keyboard. However, there are still a few areas where the tab index is not correctly set — for example, the image carousel remains an issue. Additionally, in some embedded applications, the keyboard focus is not clearly visible. Google Maps is partially integrated on our pages and is also not operable via the Tab key.
• Contrast and Readability: Text and background colors have generally been selected to ensure high contrast and good readability, meeting the minimum ratio of 4.5. A few individual elements fall slightly below this minimum value. Adjustments to improve these are planned in the short term.
• Structured Headings: We structure content using logical and consistent headings. However, some content elements still use headings that do not follow the correct hierarchy. Additionally, on some pages, bold text is used instead of the appropriate HTML heading tags. We are currently revising these elements.
• Link Texts: We strive to use descriptive link texts; however, these have not yet been implemented across all components and content.
• Alt Texts: We provide all images and graphics with descriptive alt texts. However, some images are still missing alt texts or contain descriptions that are insufficient.
• Forms: Forms are easy to navigate, but labeling is not always consistent. Status messages are not yet equipped with the appropriate ARIA roles, which can be detected by assistive technologies. Input fields currently do not have ARIA attributes either. Groupings of related input fields (e.g., first name and last name) still need to be enclosed in fieldsets. This adjustment is pending.
• Language Declaration: The default language of the website and of specific sections cannot yet be consistently detected by software. This is particularly challenging in areas written in Easy Language (Leichte Sprache).
• Documents and PDFs: Most documents and PDF files are not yet accessible.

Barriers Due to Disproportionate Burden
Some barriers on our website cannot be remedied in the short term for reasons of economic feasibility. These include:

• Complex Interactive Applications: Certain interactive applications and specific features on our website require significant financial and human resources to make them fully accessible. We are continuously exploring ways to improve accessibility; however, due to the high costs involved, we are currently unable to remove all barriers immediately.

• Historical Content: Older content created before the current accessibility regulations came into effect may not be fully accessible. Retrofitting these materials would require disproportionately high efforts. However, all new content is created in accordance with current accessibility standards whenever possible.
