For more than 40 years, the Hotel am Zoo in Neunkirchen has been welcoming visitors of all kinds to stay overnight and relax. After it became increasingly outdated in the 2000s, regional investors decided to breathe new life into the hotel. And they did it right! The former hotel and the adjacent restaurant were transformed into a single hotel complex with an incredible concept: Superbly designed rooms in a wildlife ambience, decor with great attention to detail and a unique atmosphere offer an unforgettable experience to holiday makers, families and business travelers alike.
One hotel, five worlds, 1001 impressions
We also bring the fauna into the hotel for you: from underwater and water worlds, from jungle to savanna or the world of birds - each of our five floors has its own theme with a matching color concept. This is also reflected in the rooms on each floor and determines the choice of furnishings as well as the designs of wallpaper and tiles. While the underwater world with boarding house and conference room is reserved for our business customers, the four other worlds are available to all other guests.

The Neunkirchen Zoo and the Hotel am Zoo are located in the direct vicinity of each other. Our hotel was built in the 1970's and is located in the middle of greenery on the edge of the zoo grounds. From the beginning the hotel inspired guests by the cordial and familiar atmosphere. After this long time a modernization was due. What does this look like to you? After a good night’s sleep, our breakfast is the perfect start to the day: a delicious selection of bread and rolls from the Ottweiler Klosterbäckerei bakery, freshly brewed coffee, sweets and savories from the region provide momentum and energy fort he day ahead. In the evening, we offer our guests a wide selection of delicious drinks at the hotel bar and various hot dishes from the Alexander Kunz Manufaktur.

Perfect location, easy access and idyllic surroundings
Our guests appreciate our perfect location, good traffic connection and the idyllic scenery. Only a few minutes away from the highway and yet located in the middle of greenery. The surroundings of the hotel is very quiet - apart from the chirping of birds and the atmospheric wildlife sounds of the animals in the neighboring zoo.
Take exit 24/Neunkirchen Oberstadt from Autobahn A8 and simply follow the signs to the Zoo.

For us, it was clear from the beginning that we didn't just want to modernize, but to capture the heart and spirit of the region – and this of course involves the adjacent zoo. After all, it has always been part of our identity. And this can also be seen very clearly in the current Hotel am Zoo.
